What does wws bring to the oregon coast?
It brings writers of all genres and creatives of all storytelling art forms together in community and to support each other.
It gives holistic, spiritual and wellness practitioners another opportunity to be involved and serve the community.
It gives writers and creatives deeper work for integration and embodiment of their crafts.
It provides a way for stories from the coast to be shared with a platform for publication through Waves & Words and other potential avenues.
It acts as a historian and documents the narratives of this living and timeless organism of the Oregon Coast.
It honors and pays tribute to the Coast and how she has held and inspired us.
Opportunities for collaboration
Along with guidance in traditional crafting, we also use alternative tools and studies for a storyteller. If you are a practitioner focused on theatre, acting, astrology, tarot, music, meditation, sound, somatic and shamanic journeys or other valuable tools, let’s partner in workshop sessions, special events and retreats.

“The Oregon Coast is an incredible magnet for creatives and spiritual souls and for our healing, since the coast has a powerful, vibrant and elevating energy. Many of us have remarkable stories of our journeys on the coast and what brought us here.
WWS provides a channel for those stories, regardless of what genre they are transcribed in. Writing is a valuable tool in one’s healing journey. Many of us have been inspired to write our works overlooking the cliffs of our breathtaking and one of a kind coastline and in the depths of the woods of her beating, evolving heart.
The world at this time needs more collaborative community spaces for artists to shine our lights brighter together and to help us become a success in what we deep down know we are here to do…tell our stories and use our creative voices.
The Oregon Coast is known for its lighthouses whose purpose is to help guide others home. As individuals, when we plug into what lights us up - that’s when we become a light-worker and a lighthouse ourselves. We’re all just here helping walk each other home.
Creatives are the voice of this special place and as artists we serve as a lighthouse for others in turbulent times. If more stepped into our higher purpose, what lights us up and what gives us energy, we could raise the vibration to help heal this world - just like many others before us have helped raise the energy of this eternal coast.”
